Patric Grimm Obituary

Patric Grimm, 74, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from a TBI at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics surrounded by his wife and seven children.  Per his wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. Patric Thomas Grimm was born August 25, 1951, to Edward and Joan (Thomas) Grimm in Muscatine.  He was a 1969 graduate of Muscatine High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa.  On October 16, 1976, he was united in marriage to Pamela Mullen in Rock Island, IL.  Pat retired from Muscatine Power and Water after 33 years.  He enjoyed reading and was Vice President of the Friends of Musser Public Library.  Pat also enjoyed restoring his ’57 MG.  He had a curious mind, many different interests and a life long thirst for knowledge.  Pat was the co-founder of the Beer “Root Beer” Retirement Club with special friends, Dave, Daryl, Sam and Neil.  Most of all, Pat had a continuous love and dedication for his children and grandchildren.

Pat will be deeply missed by his wife, Pamela of Muscatine; children; Mike (Rose) Grimm of Muscatine, Ben (Maria) Grimm of Iowa City, Ivy (Joe) Hamill of Hackettstown, NJ; Adam Grimm of Iowa City, Jacob (Katharina ) Grimm of Orlando, FL; Sarah (Elliot) Kelley of Shueyville and Laura (Kade Logsdon) Grimm of Marion; grandchildren; Andrew, Shawn, Violet, Daphne, Sebastian, Everly, Kellen, Ximena, Sydney, Luka and Mallory; brother, Gerry (Patti) Grimm of Ashville, NC; brothers-in-law, Tom Mullen and Todd Muma; sister-in-law, Gayle Beverlin and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
