Nellie (Smith) Berry

Nellie Thelma Berry, 92, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Lutheran Living Care Center.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Sycamore Baptist Church with services following at 11:00 a.m.  Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church.  Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Keota Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Sycamore Baptist Church in memory of Nellie.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Nellie's family and arrangements.

Nellie Thelma Smith was born on September 21, 1930, in Wilson, Iowa the daughter of Virgil A. and Winona M. (McDonald) Smith.  On July 9, 1949, Nellie was united in marriage to Gilbert J. Berry in Washington, Iowa.  She worked at Louis Rich in West Liberty for 24 years.  Nellie enjoyed nature, feeding the ducks, picnics, camping at Lake Darling, traveling the US, cooking for potlucks for church and family reunions, coloring, crocheting and spending time with her family and church family.    

Nellie is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert; six brothers and two sisters.
