Nancy Lea Schreiber, 64, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at her home in Muscatine. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice in memory of Nancy. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Nancy was born on August 12, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Bonnyle Humphrey. She received her undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa. On May 5, 1990, Nancy was united in marriage to William John Schreiber in Iowa City. After graduation, she worked at the Johnson County Auditor’s Office in Iowa City. She then was hired by Muscatine County, and in time became the Director of Administrative Services. She worked for Muscatine County for 29 years. Nancy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cross stitch, fishing, going on vacation to Minnesota, table games, puzzles and reading, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. In any endeavor, Nancy always gave her best, and expected the same from everyone else. She was a loving and supportive spouse, daughter, parent, sister, grandmother and friend, and strived to do to right for all county employees.
Nancy will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill of Muscatine; her children, Katy Bloom of Iowa City, Jessica Piehl of North Liberty and Wayne Schreiber (Brooklyn Bermel) of Coralville; five grandchildren, Cassidy Swearingen, Roselyn Piehl, Lumen Wells, Avery Piehl and Emmett Piehl and siblings, Ann (Al) Weers of Anamosa and Kay (Steve) Paulsrud of Muscatine.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wayne Wadsworth.
