Minnie Mae Wallace, 85, of Wapello, formerly of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Wapello. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Wapello. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Loudon Memorial Garden’s Cemetery near Loudon, Tennessee. Minnie Mae Keith was born on December 23, 1935, in Loudon County, Tennessee, the daughter of Rufus Edward and Lola Juanita (Webster) Keith. Following graduation from high school, she worked at Yellow Town Locks. She was united in marriage to Robert Hasson Vinson and later divorced. On August 6, 1968, Minnie was united in marriage to Albert “Skeeter” Wallace in Knoxville, Tennessee. Minnie worked in the Oakville area most of her life, Collectables Unanimous Teen Center, two diners in Oakville, Oakville Recreational and Bait and Minnie’s Handee Dandee Convenience Store. Minnie was a member of the Oakville Women’s Club and she enjoyed shopping, collecting antiques and her family, especially the grandchildren.
Minnie will be deeply missed by her children, Robert Hasson Vinson, Jr. and his wife, Angela of Bonaparte, Vickie Norwood and her husband, Steve of Wapello, Michael Vinson of Lenoir City, Tennessee and David Vinson of Muscatine; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandson, Keith Gregory Brown, Jr. and two brothers, Claude and James Keith.
