Milton Carl Dodge

Milton Carl Dodge, 90, of Columbus Junction, formerly of Sweet Home Oregon, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Wapello Specialty Care.     Burial will be at a later date in Sweet Home, Oregon.   Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.   Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction is caring for Milton’s arrangements and his family. 

Milton Carl Dodge was born on December 12, 1930 in Kingsley, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Minna (Tiedemann) Dodge.  Milton proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953.  On December 1, 1953, Milton was united in marriage to Joanne Mumey in Oregon.  Milton worked in the logging business for 45 years in Oregon.  He was a very talented doing chainsaw carvings and in his later years when no longer could use the chainsaw he did carvings with softwood and soap.

Milton will be missed by his children, Larry (Sue) Dodge of Oregon, Carleen (Lyons) Coyln of Alaska, Fred Dodge, James (Bonnie) Dodge, Michael (Kathy) Dodge, Timothy (Sue) Dodge, Richard (Linda) Dodge, Kenneth Dodge, Lorrie (Brian) Pearson, Paula Dougherty, Dawn (John) Hilburn, Daniel (Melissa) Dodge and Kathy (Ross) Kiel, all of Oregon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and special friend, W. Joan Mumey of Columbus Junction. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joanne; sisters, Dorothy, Joanne and Alta; brothers, Howard, Clarence and Darwin and son-in-law, Rick Dougherty.
