Mildred "Millie" (Walker) Hora

Mildred “Millie” Hora, 89, of Muscatine, passed away on November 6, 2025 at Accura Care Center. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Conesville Cemetery.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Millie‘s name. Mildred Marie Walker was born on October 19, 1936 in Lone Tree, Iowa, the daughter of Shafter and Mary (Mincer) Walker.   On May 1, 1954, Millie was united in marriage to Leo John Hora in Muscatine.    Millie enjoyed doing plastic canvas, dancing, listening to old country music, crafts, playing bingo, shopping and time with her family.  She could always go for a great steak grilled by Chad or J.D, some fried chicken or fried fish, but only if made by Byron.  “We Love You More!”

Millie will be deeply missed by her children, John Hora of Columbus Junction, Judy (Greg) Kauffman of Muscatine, Bobbie (Rich) Guill of Muscatine and granddaughter who was raised like a daughter, Dawn Thompson-Mahan of Lone Tree; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and a special friend, Dan. 

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughters, Dianna Tinkle and Susan (Todd) Morgan; son, Jim Hora; grandson, Randy Ford;  brother, Merle Walker; and sisters, Fran Musser and Ruby Walker.
