Mildred Osher (Englund) Lupton

Mildred Lupton, 100, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at her home in Muscatine.  Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be left for the Wesley United Methodist Church or Unity Point Hospice in Mildred's name.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.sandhfuneralservices.com.

Mildred Osher Englund was born on August 18, 1921, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Fritz and Lydia (Osher) Englund.  She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1938 and from the University of Iowa in 1942.  On May 1, 1943, she was united in marriage to Lyle S. Lupton in Muscatine.  Mildred taught in Monticello, IA, Grand Junction, KS and Muscatine, IA.  She taught bookkeeping, record keeping and typing at Muscatine High School for many years.

Mildred was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School.  She was also a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, 20th Century Club and Women of the Moose.  Mildred served as a leader in the Girl Scouts and 4-H.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren’s events.

Mildred will be deeply missed by her daughters, Linda Ford and Nancy Crews Ellinger;  grandchildren, Christina (Brian) Beavers, Janelle (Jared) Sneddon, Angela (Matt) Horton and Michael (Rachel) Crews; great-grandchildren, Brielle and Avery Beavers, Brooklyn Horton, Sophia, Aubrey, Jillian and Hailey Sneddon, Andrew and Rylee Crews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Margaret (Peg) Englund.
