Michael D. Haller, Jr., 57, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Unity Point -Trinity Rock Island.  Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Columbus City Cemetery, officiated by his friend, Jess Kessel.    Following the interment, a time of food, fellowship and celebration will be held at the RoseBowl, Muscatine.   Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite sports shirt, sweatshirt or jacket to the graveside or celebration.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Michael’s name. Michael DeWayne Haller, Jr. was born on August 21, 1967 in Iowa, the son of and Karen Lynn (Pagel) and Michael DeWayne Haller, Sr.  Michael was united in marriage to Tina Smith on January 28, 2000 in Wilton Iowa, the couple later divorced.  He had worked several years as a fork truck driver at Louis Rich and later H.J. Heinz.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, playing card games and bags, collecting sports cards and memorabilia and was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics and Oakland A’s fan.  Mike loved dressing up in costume for each holiday and being able to give treats and gifts to many local kids. 

Mike is survived by his sisters, Cassandra (Wes) Morse of Muscatine and Rhonda Pullman of Davenport; step children, Justin Twitty of Fulton, Illinois and his children, Jordan Twitty of Cedar Rapids and Dakota Twitty of Davenport; Matt Meier of Rock Island and Jenny Meier of Muscatine; two nephews, Robert (Erin) Hill and Marcus Hill; three nieces, Courtney Morse, Brittney (Josh) Strong and Whittney Morse; great nieces, Sadie and Mara Hill and Lauryn Strong; great nephews, Adam and Parker Morse and many, many great friends.  Michael will also be deeply missed by his bonus family, Melissa Dickess and her children, James, Morgan, Alex and Lilly Dickess and seven grandchildren who all considered Michael their Papa. 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents and brother-in-law Leslie Pullman.
