Michael "Scooby" Weikert

Michael “Scooby” Weikert, Sr., 79, of Muscatine passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at his home in Muscatine.  Visitation will be held Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Michael.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Michael Wayne Weikert was born April 21, 1947, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Willis and Marilyn (Brei) Weikert.  On January 14, 1967, Michael was united in marriage to Elsie Josephine Fromer in Muscatine.  He worked for many years for the family business. Michael enjoyed going to races, watching his son race and driving the skid loader, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.

Michael will be deeply missed by his wife; Elsie of Muscatine; son, Michael (Lori) Weikert, Jr.  of Muscatine; grandchildren, Justin Weikert of Muscatine, Jeremy (Sarah) Weikert of Muscatine, and Lexie Weikert of Denver and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda; brother, Jeff and infant brother, Melvin.
