Max Duane Ramer

Max Duane Ramer, 92, of Muscatine, formerly Conesville, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  A graveside service will follow at the Conesville Cemetery with military rites provided by Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post #100 and the Iowa Military Honor Guard.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Max’s name. Max Duane Ramer was born on November 21, 1929 in Conesville, Iowa, the son of Chester and Ruth (DeLap) Ramer.  Max proudly served his country in the United States Army in Korea from 1951-1952 earning several honors such as the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, a United Nations Service Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. On July 24, 1969, Max was united in marriage to Margaret A. DeVore in Muscatine, Iowa.  He had been employed as a maintenance supervisor at G.P.C. for many years.  Max was a member of the American Legion.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and was a skilled woodworker.

Max will be missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Max was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; son, Raymond Martin and several brothers and sisters.
