Mathew P. Markee, 41, of Batesville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. There will be no local services. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Mathew Paul Markee was born on October 26, 1983, in San Diego, California, at Balboa Naval Hospital. He was the second son of John S. and Cheryl K. (Dantzler) Markee. He attended school in San Diego, California.  He studied American Kenpo along with his older brother John Jr. for 2 years as a child and achieved their purple belts. He played Little League Baseball, Pop Warner and High School Football.  On September 29, 2011, Mathew was united in marriage to Miriam L. Stark in San Diego, California. Their union was blessed with four beautiful children. Their second child, little Tatiana, was called home to glory on November 17, 2008.  Mathew worked as a Journeyman Carpenter for over 20 years. He was a member of the Local 619 Carpenters Union in California.  Mathew was a history buff , enjoyed reading and was an avid San Diego Chargers fan. He loved a wide assortment of music, from Johnny Horton to Metallica. Mathew loved to cook and grill, and he loved his fish sauce, and wouldn't leave home without it. Mathew was loved very much by his family, his friends and coworkers, he was also known as a prankster at work, and will be missed by all.

On May 31, 2025 Mathew Markee passed away. He will be deeply missed and will leave cherished memories of his wife, Miriam Markee of Batesville, Indiana; his children, Mathew Markee, Jr., Tristyn Markee and Kaidon Cole-Markee, all of Batesville, Indiana; parents, John and Cheryl Markee of Switzerland County, Indiana; siblings, John Markee Jr. of California, Austin Markee of Switzerland County, Indiana and Jacob Markee of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Grandmother Bonnie Cadwallader of Glendale, Arizona, Aunts Rhonda and Kelley Dantzler of Los Angeles,  California, Kristine Davis of La Mesa, California, Sasha Hoffa of Parks Arizona, Uncles Robert and Michael Markee, and his best friend and cousin Stephen Smith of San Diego, California, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends that were dear to him.

Mathew was preceded in death by his Aunt Michelle Markee; his Grandfather Richard Markee; his cousin Victor Smith and his beautiful daughter, Tatiana Colleen Markee.
