Mary Riedl

Mary Ann Riedl, 57, of Muscatine passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Private burial will be held at a later date in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the funeral home.    A memorial has been established for the family in Mary’s name.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Mary Ann was born on August 9, 1963 in Muscatine, the daughter of Don “Poppers” and Bonnie Chapman.  Mary was a graduate from Rockridge High School in 1981 and went on to attend college at Muscatine Community College.  On September 23, 1987, Mary was united in marriage to Chris Riedl in Muscatine.  Mary had worked at various restaurants as a waitress; including the Sports Page, Country Kitchen and train waitresses for the Solid Golden Diner.  She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.  She enjoyed fishing, painting, car rides, camping and family vacations. 

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Chris; daughter, Railynn (Joe Sloat) Riedl of Muscatine; father, Don “Poppers” of Muscatine; mother, Bonnie Chapman of Macomb, Illinois; sister, Melinda Fox of Muscatine and half-brother, Stan of Arizona. 

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Marie.
