Mary Etta Harkins

Mary Etta Harkins, 85, of Blue Grass, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be left to the family in her memory.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservices.com. 

Mary Etta Hayes was born on June 10, 1940 the daughter of Lewis and Mary (Beavers) Hayes.  She was united in marriage to Harvey Harkins on April 5, 1985  in Des Plaines, Illinois.  She retired from Oscar Mayer.  Mary Etta took great pride in keeping her yard immaculate and could often be found pulling weeds, mowing and tending to her flowers.  Most of all, she loved being with her family. 

Mary Etta will be deeply missed by her children; Cheryl (Randy) Bartlett and Darrell (Briget) Nelson, both of Davenport; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mary Etta was preceded in death by her parents; husband and several brothers and sisters.
