Mary Cole, 65, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at her home in Muscatine. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Muscatine. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at the funeral home in Mary’s name. Mary Kay Cole was born on September 2, 1960 at Muscatine General Hospital, the daughter of Robert Slutts and Donna (Beason) Maylone. On April 18, 1981, Mary was united in marriage to Terry Cole in Louisa County, Iowa. She worked in retail and operated an in-home daycare for many years. Mary enjoyed dancing, karaoke, decorating for her favorite holiday-Christmas, going to the races and time at the casino. More than anything, Mary loved spending time with her family; she was especially fond of taking care of her grandchildren and baking cinnamon rolls with them.
Mary will be deeply missed by her children, Jason (Ashley) Cole of Moscow, Misty (Todd) Staley of Palo, Terry (Courtney) Cole Jr. of Letts, Beth (R.J.) Truitt of Muscatine and Michael (Tonya) Cole of Florida; 11grandchilden, Brianna (Alex), Rylee (Dominic), Kiley, Daisy (Ethan), Tucker, Austin, Shawn, Draven, Dixey, Dolan and Paislee; two great-grandchildren; Kash and Bristol Hernandez; siblings, Bob Slutts, Scott Slutts, Robin Lewandowski and Shannon Slutts; half-brothers, Troy Slutts, Mary Ann Cortez, Charlie Maylone, Donald Maylone, Jerry Maylone and Angie Maylone; sister-in-law; LuAnn Eichelberger.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, mother and several in-laws.
