Marlene J. (Pulliam) Blaesing

Marlene J. Blaesing, 82, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at The New Homestead in Guthrie Center, Iowa.  No formal visitation or services will be held.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Memorials in Marlene’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Marlene’s family and arrangements.

Marlene Joyce Pulliam was born on November 25, 1943 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Steve and Blanche Pulliam. On June 30, 1961, Marlene was united in marriage to Donald Lee Blaesing at Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine.  Marlene worked at Heinz for a number of years, but most of all she loved caring for her family.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, quilting, crocheting, and going on fishing trips with Don.

Marlene will be deeply missed by her children, Steve (Eva) Blaesing of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Jeff (Bert) Blaesing of Guthrie Center, Iowa; two grandchildren, Brandon Blaesing of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Daniel Blaesing of Londonderry, New Hampshire and her sisters Shirley Stockfleet and Doris Hansen.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald on March 25, 2024.
