Mark L. Gingerich, 72, of Nichols, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Lone Tree. Mark Lorin Gingerich was born on March 10, 1953, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Robert and Virginia (Lippencott) Gingerich. Mark worked as a machinist at Raymond Manufacturing in Muscatine for many years. He enjoyed being a mechanic for stock car, sprint car and drag racing cars, attending the Knoxville Nationals for the last 30 years, working in his garage, playing the drums, including his band, “Storm” and attending his son’s concerts, but most of all, Mark loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially the grandchildren.
Mark will be deeply missed by his sons, Jason (Shelly Haley) Gingerich of Wellman and Corey (Kate Johnson) Gingerich of Iowa City; six grandchildren, Paitynn Gingerich, Delaney Gingerich, Chloe Gingerich, Stevie Gingerich, Chase Gingerich and Lewis Johnson-Gingerich; one great grandchild, Tirion; brother, Steve Gingerich of Minneapolis, Minnesota and extended family.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Robert Zimmerman and sister, Uraina.
