Mariela Gomez Carrasco

Mariela Gomez Carrasco, 43, of Wapello, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Great River Hospice House in Burlington. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Muscatine. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January, 12, 2021 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Wapello.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Mariela. Mariela Gomez Carrasco was born June 9, 1977 in Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Ruben Gomez and Micaela Carrasco.  She was united in marriage to Felipe Urquiza on September 29, 2003.  Mariela enjoyed crochet, crafts of all kinds, doing her hair, makeup and nails and most of all, spending time with her family.

Mariela will be missed by her husband, Felipe of Wapello; children, Damon and Gael Urquiza of Wapello; parents, Ruben and Micaela; siblings, Martin Gomez, Ramiro Gomez, Gabriel Gomez, Oralia Gomez, Ramon Gomez, Cadelaria Gomez and Ruben Gomez Jr.
