Maria Carmen (Jimenez) Cervantes

Maria Carmen Cervantes, 94, of Muscatine passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 12:30 P.M. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine; visitation will be before the service starting at 10:00 A.M.  Burial will be at the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery following services.  Memorials in Maria’s name may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Maria Carmen Jimenez was born on October 19, 1931 in Michoacan, Mexico; the daughter of Juan and Mercedes (Mares) Jimenez.  She was united in marriage to Eusebio Cervantes in 1947 in Michoacan, Mexico.  Carmen enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.  She was a member of St. Mary and Mathis Catholic Church in Muscatine.

Those left to honor Carmen’s memory are her children Estela Cervantes, Rojelio Cervantes, Teresa Cervantes, Juan (Rocio) Cervantes, and Maria G. Alvarado; many beloved grandchildren; sister Trina Soria; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other close family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eusebio; parents Juan and Mercedes; children Maria, Luis, Alfredo, Carmen, Franisco, and Antonio; siblings Maria, Margarita, Guadalupe, Efren, Salvador, Ponciano, and Aurelio.
