Margaret E. (Heller) Rossman

Margaret E. Rossman, age 97, of Lone Tree passed away on June 17, 2022, at the Bird House in Iowa City.  Visitation will be Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Lone Tree.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, following the visitation.  Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue or the Bird House in memory of Margaret.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Margaret Elaine Heller was born on May 12, 1925, the daughter of George and Bessie (Riordan) Heller.  She graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics.  On October 9, 1949, she married Edward Henry Rossman.  She was a Home Economics teacher, substitute teacher, homemaker and farm wife.  Margaret was a member of the First Christian Church in Coralville, Hannah Group, Lone Tree Women’s Club, Red Hat Club and T.T.T.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, sewing, painting, crafts, her flower beds, gardening, baking, playing the piano and her dogs. 

Margaret will be deeply missed by her children, David (Holly) Rossman of Cape Coral, Florida, Diane (Scott) Keller of Garden City, Kansas, Robert (Rhonda) Rossman of Riverside and Richard (Donna) Rossman of Lone Tree; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Sean) Stellish of Lakewood, Colorado, Danielle (Mike) Giles of Henderson, Colorado, Eric (Jennifer) Frame of Washington, Shaun Frame of Burlington Jct., Missouri, Jacob Rossman of Riverside, Justin Rossman of Riverside, Kyle Rossman and fiancé, Andrea Martin of Columbus Jct., and Keaton (Bobbi Jo)  Rossman of Lone Tree; 12 great-grandchildren, Joel, Caleb, Ezra, Bryland, Gracie, Connor, Hannah, Adisyn, Maxon, Thea, Nash and Jack; two great-granddaughters on the way, one due in August and one due in December and one great-great granddaughter due in July.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward on August 24, 2011; great grandson, Kaden Frame; one brother, Leonard Heller and one sister, Gladys Broadfield.
