After the family moved to Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Lori attended Reynoldsburg High School, where she graduated in 1974. After high school, she attended Ohio Valley University for two semesters, then she met Tom Burns. Together they bore a girl, Marisa. The family of Lori, Tom, and Marisa moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1981. Tom and Lori divorced. Her now husband, Kent Krueger married April 18, 1998. Lori worked several jobs, even working while in high school for her dad at Shivener Real Estate. In Colorado she worked in real estate, banking, art gallery, Hugh M. Woods (where she met Kent), Pearl Auto Body, and her final job before retiring with Home Depot.
Lori loved to read, sometimes reading 2-3 books at the same time all in the matter of days. She also loved doing crossword puzzles and loved to cook and bake, especially her famous cheesecake. Her new joy was feeding and watching birds. Lori and Kent moved back to Kent’s home town of Lone Tree, Iowa in July of 2022, where they were able to buy Kent’s grandparents property. Together they remodeled the house to make it their now and forever home.
