Lois Wanfalt

Lois J. Wanfalt, 91, of Wapello passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Wapello Specialty Care.  At this time there will be no services or visitation.  Memorials in Lois’ name may be made to Louisa County 4-H, the Wapello Library or the Wapello Methodist Church.   Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello is caring for Lois’ family and her arrangements.   Sympathy notes may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Lois J. Campbell was born on June 24, 1933 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford and Selma (Bing) Campbell.  Lois graduated from Media High School in 1952 and went on to attended Western College in Macomb.  Lois retired from teaching at the age of 70 after teaching in the school districts of Muscatine, L&M, Wapello and others.  In 1957, Lois was united in marriage to John Wanfalt in Stronghurst, Illinois.  He preceded her in death in March of 2019.   Lois attended First Chirstian Church of Muscatine and most recently the Wapello Methodist Church.  She also was a 4-H Leader and involved with Habitat for Humanity.  Hs enjoyed reading, sewing and getting together with her family. 

Lois will be missed by her sons, David Wanfalt of Wapello and Dan Wanfalt of Wyoming; grandchildren, Danielle, Mitchell, Travis and Austin; great-granddaughter, Ennvoy; sister Lorna; daughter-in-law, Dawn Wanfalt and special friend, Chris Bos. 

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leland Campbell.
