Lois I. Pace, 84, of Muscatine passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital. Per her request cremation rites have been accorded; Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is assisting the family. A private family inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine. Memorials in Lois’ name may be made to Friends of the Animals in Tipton. Lois was born on January 6, 1941 in Muscatine, Iowa to Walter and Ruby (Lenoard) Fox. She was united in marriage to Ralph Pace on July 20, 1958. Lois was lovingly known as “General Pace” to her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and her beloved dogs. Lois could often be found outside mowing her lawn or going to Fareway.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband of 67 years Ralph; children Randy Pace, JoAnn Babcock, Peggy Pace, and Shelly Pace; grandchildren Cory, Matthew, Brook, Dustun, Jessica, Greg, and Tyrle; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Sharon (Phil) Martin; and her beloved dogs Deisel and Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ruby; a son Dale Pace; brothers Donald and Glen Fox; and sisters Frances Getz and Norma Terrill.
