Lisa (Brugman) Parsons

Lisa L. Parsons, 60, of Muscatine passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.  There will be a visitation to honor her memory on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services in Muscatine.  Memorials in Lisa’s name may be made to Merlin or Ryan to help with her beloved grandson, Deklan’s, future education. Lisa was born on March 29, 1965 in Muscatine, Iowa to Maynard and Linda (Wetzel) Brugman.  She married the love of her life, Merlin Parsons, on April 5, 1985.  To Lisa, family was everything, when she was able to she attended her son’s Figure 8 races and spent every minute she could with her grandson.  She worked for the Muscatine Community School District for many years.

Those left to honor Lisa’s memory are her husband of 40 years, Merlin Parsons; son Ryan Parsons; grandson Deklan Parsons; mother Linda Brugman; close cousins Jennifer (Jake) Phelps, Randy (Amanda) Wetzel, and Carol O’Neal; dear friends Cody (Dawn) Lothridge, Lee (Danielle) Spitznogle, Tyler (Micky) Noble, Jose Barajas, and Marcos Rangel; along with many other cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Maynard Brugman and brother Robert Brugman.
