Linda C. (DeCantillon) Shampney

Linda C. Shampney, 78, of Grandview, Iowa passed away Thursday, September 11. 2025 at her home surrounded by her beloved family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Linda was born on June 26, 1947 in Meriden, Connecticut to William and Kathleen (Bundy) DeCantillon.  She married Pio Chester Shampney on June 2, 1967 in Concord, New Hampshire.  Linda worked as an insurance agent at Alan Thompson Agency for many years before she retired.  She loved to fill her free time with reading, watching movies, working on various crafts, knitting, camping, and going to the casino.  Most of all, Linda loved to be with her family.

Those left to honor her memory are her children William (Amy) Shampney of Grandview, Iowa and Denise Schuster of North Field, New Hampshire; grandchildren Amber Williams, Jeffrey Schuster, Brenden Shampney, Christina Schuster, Tori Romero, and Lexi Deppe; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Roger (Donna-Lee) DeCantillon of Camino, California and John (Helen) DeCantillon of Brandon, Mississippi; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Kathleen, and her husband Pio Chester Shampney.
