Linda R. (Terrill) Preston-Sloan

Linda R. Preston-Sloan, 77, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Genesis East Medical Center.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020, at Greenwood Cemetery.  Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of fellowship will be held at the American Legion.  Family requests all that attend, please wear a mask due to Covid-19 concerns.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Linda’s family. Linda R. Terrill was born on June 8, 1943, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Floyd and Margaret (Tobias) Terrill.  On July 2, 1966, Linda was united in marriage to Orland “Bud” Preston.  Following Bud’s passing in September of 1994, Linda was united in marriage to James Sloan on May 18, 1998, in Muscatine.  She worked a HON for 30 years and enjoyed baking, cooking, crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, playing Bingo and going to the casinos, but most of all, Linda dearly loved to spend time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Linda will be deeply missed by her husband, James of Muscatine; children, James F. (Judy) Adams of Muscatine and Steve (Anna) Preston of Muscatine; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and siblings, Gary (Phyllis) Terrill of Owatonna, Minnesota, Sue (Tom) Mulder of Moline and Kathy (Earl) Hofer of Davenport.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bud; daughter Corinna Adams and brother, Doug Terrill.
