Lester Pace II Obituary

Lester G. Pace II, 83, of Fredonia, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his home.  Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Foundation of Muscatine in memory of Lester.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Lester Granville Pace II was born on June 17, 1942 in Los Angles, California the son of Lester Granville and Eleanor M. (South) Pace Sr.  Lester served in the U.S. Naval Reserves.  He was united in marriage to Sarah Maxine Horn in 1963.  Following Sarah’s passing, Lester was united in marriage to Dorothy D. Dilley on March 4, 1972, in Las Vegas.  He was a machinist for Mid-American Energy from 1982 – 2002.  Lester was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Muscatine.  He enjoyed reading, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his wife.

Lester will be deeply missed by his children, Velvet (Pat) Hall of Columbus Junction, Dawn (Bill) Grace of Reynolds, Illinois, William “Robert” (Jodi) Pace of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, Lester (Michelle) Pace III of Moline, Illinois, June Engle of California and Mary (Brian) Ernst of Brookings, South Dakota; brother, Edward (Patrice) Pace of Davenport, Florida; sister, Carolyn Dewey of Texas and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and son, Harold “Gene” Pace.
