Obituary

Leroy F. Jackson, Sr., 62, of Muscatine, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Leroy’s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Leroy was born September 22, 1960 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Raymond W. and Dorothy Mae (McConnaha) Jackson. He attended school in Muscatine. Leroy was united in marriage to Wanda Coblentz in 1989 in Muscatine.

Leroy worked for Hy-Brand Industrial Contractors in Muscatine for several years. He enjoyed attending estate sales, yard sales and flea markets. He loved Harley Davidsons and especially loved spending time with his family.

Leroy will be deeply missed by his wife; Wanda Jackson of Muscatine; daughter, Luanna (Justin) Schrock of Muscatine; son, Leroy, Jr. (Tara) Jackson of Muscatine; grandchildren: JD Schrock, and Addison and Leah Jackson; brother, Chris (Pat) Nolan of Quincy, IL; sister, Sharon Scherbaum of Marion; sister, Lois (“Bear”) James of Oakville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Destiny Symmonds; sister, Sandra Chapman; and brother, Raymond Jackson, Jr.
