Leona A Maylone

Leona A. Maylone, 95, of Muscatine, passed at the age of 95, on Monday, February 15, 2021.  Visitation will be for family relatives only, due to COVID-19, will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation of Muscatine.  A celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Leona was born February 13, 1926, the daughter of Arthur and Verda LaRue.  She married John J. Maylone, Jr. on September 6, 1945.  They had been married 68 years when he passed away.

Leona loved to go shopping with her daughter, granddaughters and great granddaughter.  They would frequently go on girls’ trips and spend the weekend shopping.  She also enjoyed playing cards, spending time with family and baking pies for the holidays.

Those left to honor her memory include, daughter, Brenda and husband, Scott; three sons, Robert Maylone and wife, Cindy, Fred Maylone and Larry Maylone; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Jones and husband, Chuck and  numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and many brothers and sisters.
