Lenette Ann (Rider) Buchanan

Lenette Ann Buchanan, 61, of Muscatine, Iowa passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the UnityPoint Trinity Hospital in Muscatine.  Per her request cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at later date.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.   The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Lenette’s family and arrangements.

Lenette was born on October 26, 1964 in Santa Rosa, California to Jerry and Carolyn (Feuze) Rider.  She was united in marriage to Donald Phillip Buchanan, Jr. on May 11, 1990 in Winnemucca, Nevada.  Lenette worked as a part time fire watch for the logging company that Phil worked for, but her pride and joy was caring for their children.  Lenette was a champion for those who didn’t have a voice and was a huge supporter of children and animals.  She loved her pets and spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Lenette will be missed by her husband of 35 years Phil; children Jamie (Alden) Huey, Shantel (Trevor) Tiner, Ryan (Kylene) Buchanan, and Tracey (Steve) Higgs; grandchildren Mya and Lucian Buchanan, Daniel, Dominik, Chase, and June Higgs, Maddison and Carson Tiner, Austin and Brandon Huey; one great-grandchild; sister Penny Kilwein; and brother Johnny (Lisa) Rider.

Lenette was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn; “step” father Leonard Holt; and brother-in-law Leroy Kilwein.
