Lawrence E. Carlson

Lawrence E. Carlson, 91, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at his home in Muscatine.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m.  – 2:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Funeral services follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Lawrence.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Lawrence Ernest Carlson was born on January 11, 1935, in Fruitland, Iowa the son of Oscar and Letha (Nelson) Carlson.  He was a graduate of Muscatine High School.  Lawrence proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for six years.  On June 23, 1956, Lawrence was united in marriage to Margaret Estabrook in Fairport, Iowa.  He worked at Thatcher Tubes and then Bandag as a Senior R&D Shop Technician.  Lawrence enjoyed classic cars, hot rods and going to the casinos, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lawrence will be deeply missed by his children, Larry (JoAnn) Carlson of Muscatine, Tim Carlson of Muscatine, Bob (Karen) Carlson of Wilton, Jim (Wendy) Carlson of Davenport and Mindy (Matt) Miller of Muscatine; grandchildren, Beth Reesink, Samantha Blumenberg, Cristie Humiston, Neil Sauer, Jennifer Duggan, Wyatt Miller, Juleah Miller, Kyle Carlson, Kasey Carlson and Kelsey Carlson     and great-grandchildren, Jakob, Kaine, Calin, Trenton, Adam, Avery, Jonny and Salem.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margie in 2010 and daughter-in-law, Cherrie Carlson.
