Laura Samuels

Laura Samuels, 89, of rural Muscatine passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Premier Estates.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello.  Burial will be in Wapello Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for the family.    Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Laura Thacker was born on January 26, 1935 in Oakville, Iowa the daughter of Jack and Isabelle (Stafford) Thacker.  Laura attend Mediapolis schools.  On December 31, 1965, she was united in marriage to Charles Samuels.  Laura worked as an inspector at Sylvania and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting beautiful afghans, babysitting and painting.   Laura always was a farm girl at heart.

Laura will be deeply missed by her daughter, Sharon Samuels of Muscatine and siblings, Agnes Thacker of Muscatine, John (Annice) Thacker of Burlington and Robert (Frances) Thacker of Muscatine. 

Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles on March 13, 2013; siblings, Roger, James and George Thacker; Mable Green; Betty Waterhouse; Mary Ann Thacker; Edna Roberts and Buddy Thacker in infancy.
