Laura Mae Adams

Laura Adams, 98, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Simpson Memorial Home.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  A memorial has been established in Laura’s name.    Online condolences can be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Laura Mae Day was born on April 14, 1926 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Rosa (Smith) Day.  Laura was a graduate of Muscatine High School.   On April 3, 1947, Laura was united in marriage to Roy Adams.   Laura worked at Muscatine Pearl Works, Colorado school and retired from Heinz.  She enjoyed puzzles and Krul embroidery. 

Laura will be deeply missed by her children, Sharon Lemaster of Muscatine and Myron (Susan) Adams, all of Muscatine; grandchildren, Kevin (Dawn) Adams, Wendy (Marty) Munoz, Corey (Annie) Adams, Aaron Adams, Ben Shoemaker, Brad (Sara) Shoemaker, Matthew Adams and Meagan (Eric Svenby) Wagner; 12 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Elaine Adams of Davenport and Linda Adams of Muscatine.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy on December 18, 1967; sons, Arnie and Danny Adams; siblings, Marie Hall, Velma Hall, Elmus Day (died in infancy), Lloyd Day, Ruth Schnedler, Melvin “Bud” Day, Marjorie Herlein, Ivan Day, Kenny Day and Mike Day.
