Larry Malcom

Larry Malcom, 82, of Wapello, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at his home in
Wapello. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Noon at Rob and Carie
Murray’s House, 13979 Locust Street, Wapello, Iowa. The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and
Cremation Services of Wapello is caring for the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been

Larry Faye Malcom was born on November 7, 1940, the son of Robert “Bob” and Betty
(Thompson) Malcom. Larry was united in marriage to Sally Foster on March 26, 1976 or March 28,
1976 depending on which one you ask. He was a heavy equipment operator and a carpenter. Larry
enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, mowing yards, going to the grandchildren’s sporting events,
going out to dinner with Sally, Edie and Marlin, cutting fire wood, going on drives and visiting with
family and friends.

Larry will be deeply missed by his wife, Sally of Wapello; son, James (Niki) Malcom of
Wapello; daughters, Holly (Steve) Copeland of Hedrick, Carie (Rob) Murray of Wapello, Ginger
(Brad) Huston of New London; grandchildren, Chase and Tyler Copeland, Marcus, Codder and Jett
Malcom, Bryar and Chevelle Murray, Samantha O’Connor, Matt and Ashley Huston; and sister, Cindy
Grimm of Letts.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Dick Grimm.
