Larry Kirkland

Larry Kirkland, 77, of Muscatine, unexpectedly passed peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 9, 2024.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with burial in the Edgington Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Larry.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Larry’s family and arrangements.

Larry Kirkland was born on September 12, 1947, son of Martha and Charlie Kirkland.  He was a graduate of Rockridge High School.  Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He spent most of his life working in business management.  After retirement, he enjoyed working at Muni Golf Course and Geneva Golf.

Larry never missed a school event or sporting event.  He loved every one of those moments.  He loved his family garage parties and working in his garage.  He loved John Wayne and the Bears.  He was Santa every year for many children.

Larry was the best.  He will be loved and missed by all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and his significant other of over 23 years, Darcy Carter.  He will be greatly missed by his  football grandson, Gaije Carter and his baby girl, Annebelle Jamison.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
