Larry Eugene Hill

Larry E. Hill, 65, of Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at his home in Fredonia.  Masonic Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Columbus Junction American Legion.  Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the Masonic Service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Larry.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction is caring for Larry’s family and arrangements.

Larry Eugene Hill was born on July 9, 1959, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Larry Joseph and Charlotte (Murphy) Hill.  On June 30, 1984, Larry was united in marriage to Tammy Conaway in Columbus Junction and later divorced.  He worked for HON in Muscatine for 17 years and then Rielly Construction as a heavy equipment operator for 20 years. Larry was a member of the Columbus Junction Mason’s Lodge 107 and was a Shriner.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, riding his side by side, cutting wood, his dogs and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Larry will be deeply missed by his children, Adam (Heather) Hill of Wilton and Ashley (Eric) Pugh of Columbus Junction; five grandchildren, Hayden, Lilly, Hunter, Brynlee and Opal; mother, Charlotte Hill of Muscatine and sister, Penny (Dan) Bermel of Illinois City, Illinois.

Larry was preceded in death by his father.
