Kevin William Lucas

Kevin Lucas, 70, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Trinity – Rock Island.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Global Methodist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.  Following the committal service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Kevin.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Kevin’s family and arrangements.

Kevin William Lucas was born on October 18, 1954, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Walter Wallace and Edith Lucille (Skipton) Lucas.  He was a graduate of Muscatine High School.  Kevin worked for West Liberty Food and then C.D.S. where he retired.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, getting together with his friends, playing guitar and his dogs, Pearl and Runton.

Kevin will be deeply missed by his sister, Teresa (Charlie) Smith of Muscatine; niece Whitney (Nahum) Heath; nephew, Timothy (Yoli) Smith; great nieces and nephews, Mercedes Smith, Kaden Smith, Karson Smith, Jaslene Moreno, Yecenia Echols and Sadie Echols; aunts, Kay Skipton and Jean Dusenberry; uncle, Harry Etter and several cousins.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents and two brothers, Steven W. Lucas and Leslie Charles Lucas.
