Kermit “Butch” Kinsley, 79, of Wapello, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. Per his wishes cremation was accorded and there will be no visitation or services. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Kermit Ross Kinsley was born on March 24, 1943 in Muscatine, the son of Joe and Mildred (Moore) Kinsley. Kermit attended Wapello Community Schools. On May 12, 1961, Butch was united in marriage to Norma Parrish in Wapello. Butch worked for Rath Processing, was a foreman building bridges and Pallister Pallet. He enjoyed fishing, football, horses and watching harness racing.
Butch will be deeply missed by his children, Lori (Dan) Dickey of Belton, Missouri, Krista (Shawn) Martley of Grimes, Iowa, Teri (Rusty) Shepard of Wapello and Kirk Kinsley of Wapello; six grandchildren, Andrew and Brett Martley, Jake and Josh Dickey, Kaitlynn Kinsley and Kolton Shepard; five great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Mynes of Muscatine and his dogs, Peanut, Maggie and Play-Doh.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma on July 27, 2018; infant sister, JoAnn Kinsley; sister, Barbara Morris and brother, Charles Kinsley.
