Kenneth Wells Obituary

Kenny Wells, 77, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at his home in Muscatine.  A Celebration of Life may be held at a later date.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Service of Muscatine is caring for the family.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Kenneth James Wells was born on May, 9, 1945, in Muscatine, the son of Harold and Marjorie (Wulf) Wells.  He graduated from Muscatine High School in 1963.  Kenny was united in marriage to Linda Capshaw.  The couple had two children, Cynthia Burr and Kenny Pahl.  He then married Linda Humpleby on September 10, 1971.  The couple had two children, Lee and Marc.  Kenny retired from Monsanto after 32 years of employment.  Following his retirement, he mowed for the City and Park Department for 10 years.  His first love was his family, playing pool was a close second. Kenny was in many leagues in Muscatine and the Quad Cities.  He also enjoyed golf and fishing, belonging to a large group that fished together for over 30 years.  Kenny was the Governor of the Muscatine Corvette Club in the 1970s and 80s and an avid Hawkeye fan.

Kenny will be missed by his wife, Linda of Muscatine; children, Lee Phillips, Marc Wells and fiancé Lisa, Cynthia Burr and husband Brian, all of Muscatine and Kenny Pahl; grandchildren, Garrett, Kylie, Megan, Ellen, John and Beth; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Wells Jr of Muscatine, niece, Melanie Bickford; nephew, Nick Wells, cousin, Duane (Sue) Wince and his beloved dog Sammy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Sandy.
