Katilynn Jo Schwab

Katilynn Schwab, 22, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at UnityPoint Trinity Muscatine.  A Celebration of Life gathering with light refreshments will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.  at the Academy Park in Grandview, Iowa.  In honor of some of Katilynn's favorite things, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite set of pjs, anything My Little Pony or Super Mario!  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservices.com.    

Katilynn Jo Schwab was born on August 2, 2002 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Tim and Joanne (Cook) Schwab.  Katilynn was a 2020 graduate from L&M High School.  Katilynn enjoyed spending time with her friends at New Choices in Muscatine and Hope Haven in Wapello, playing on her computer, going to the zoo, library and Pizza Ranch for pizza and to visit the arcade and loved hotel stays where she could often be found playing in the pool.  Katilynn liked to watch My Little Pony, Super Mario Brothers and Disney movies on TV, with her favorite being Finding Nemo.  Above all, Katilynn most enjoyed spending time with her family.

Katilynn will be deeply missed by her mother, Joanne Schwab of Muscatine; siblings, Amanda Birch and Jospeh Schwab, both of Muscatine; maternal grandma, Patricia Cross of Joy, IL; special friends, Robert Delano, James and Crystal Gault; many uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family.

 She was preceded in death by her father; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Elizabeth Samuelson, Nancee Miller, Melvin Schwab and maternal grandfather, Lawrence Cross.

The family would like to thank all the staff at New Choices and Hope Haven for being an important part of Katilynn’s life.
