Obituary

Kathy (Gault) Stanbro 62, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 following a 16-year courageous battle with bone and breast cancer. A Celebration of Life for Kathy will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Monsanto Shelter at Weed Park.  Memorials may be directed to the family in Kathy’s name.   Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Katherine Jeanne Gault was born on April 24, 1961 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James and Marguerite (Rosanowitch) Gault.  In June of 1978, Kathy was united in marriage to John Freeborn.  She later married Kevin Stanbro in 1983.  Kathy worked as a waitress in her younger days; and has also worked for Louis Rich, Musco and Allsteel.  Kathy was an amazing mother and grandmother whose family was very dear to her.  She was a very talented crafty person especially with cross stitching and crocheting.  She loved light houses, wolves, unicorns and had quite a collection of DVDs and movies. 

Kathy will be deeply missed by her children, Del (Cindi) Freeborn of Tucson, Arizona, Jessica (Dave “Ellroy”) Johnson of Muscatine, Kodie Kruse of Muscatine, and Kelly (Denise) Kruse of Katy, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, Skylar, Alyahna, Orlando, Grace, Chloe, Keira, Regan, Kortney, Myami Starr, Kylee, Isabella, Wyatt, Isaiah, Amora and Tristyn, two great-grandchildren; Marcella and Yeseña; brother, James (Crystal) Gault of Muscatine; sister, Anna (Tim) Jones of Sherrand, Illinois; many nieces and nephews, and several adopted family members. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marge Gault and two, brothers, Robert and Scott Gault.
