Kathryn (Blake) Meyer

Kathryn Meyer, 77, of Burlington, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Savannah Heights in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Burial will be held at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Kathryn Eunice was born February 6, 1945 in Muscatine, the daughter of Eldon W. and Anna H. (Peters) Blake. She attended school in Muscatine. Kathryn was united in marriage to Ralph E. Meyer on October 6, 1963 in Muscatine.

Kathryn resided in Muscatine most of her life and relocated to West Burlington in 1998. She worked for Heinz for 22 years. She was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church in Burlington and she loved her dogs, Sabrina and Gracie. Kathryn was legally blind but she never let this affect her hard work in the factory or her love of helping others.

Kathryn will be missed by her son, Ralph (Tammy) Meyer, Jr. of Burlington; grandchildren: Rebecca Richards of Burlington, Grant Jones (Alyssa Patrick) of Burlington, and Zachary (Nicolle) Determan of Omaha, NE; great-grandchildren: Brielle Determan and Ivory Smalley; great-great-grandson, Liam Shaffer; sister, Shirley Truitt of Muscatine; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; great-grandchild, Trisslynn Jones; brother, Harold Blake; and sisters: Ramona Wagg, Sharon Bean, Donna Blake and Betty Bower.
