Kathleen Martin Schomer

Kathleen Ellen Martin Schomer, 97, of Muscatine passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport.  Family Viewing will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine. Following the viewing, graveside services for Kathleen will be held at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Kathleen Ellen Weas was born October 22, 1928, in Morning Sun, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mary Weas.  Kathleen was married to Clarence A. Martin, who passed away in 1959.  She was busy raising 5 daughters and working at custodial jobs before she married Jack Schomer in 2002.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jack; daughters Elaine (Gary) Harshman of Basye, Va.; Ramona Martin of Davenport, Ia.; Donna (Jose) Luna of Muscatine; Mary Martin of Rapid City, S.D.; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Virginia Filbrandt and Janet Tri and a brother, Lyle Weas. 

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Kathy (Ramona’s twin) and Linda; grandson, Dustin Martin; 3 sisters, Evelyn Hill, Winifred Fusco and Marge Roberson, and two brothers, Franklin Weas and Francis Weas.
