Judy K. Fowler

Judith “Judy” Fowler, 82, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 with her beloved family by her side at Lutheran Living Homes.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at The Rendezvous Banquet Facility, 3127 Lucas St. Muscatine.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Judy was born on November 27, 1943 to Edward and Patricia (Castle) Gilchrist in Missouri.  She married Archie Leopard and they later divorced.  Judy later married Gene Fowler on July 3, 1992 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  She was an avid yard sale attender and she could always find a bargain.  Judy loved to spend time out in her flower garden, going on vacation, camping, hanging out with her dear friends, and playing dominos.  Most of all, Judy loved to be with her family.  Judy was a hairstylist for many years; she worked at Fashion Flair and later went on to open her own in-home salon “Judith’s Hair Design”.

Those left to honor her memory are her children Pamela (Bill Wagner, Jr.) Leopard-Knight and Larry (Mandy) Leopard; daughter-in-law Kitty Woerly; step-daughters Kim (Bill) Beven and Jody (Chris) Leamen; grandchildren Ashley Knight, Ryan Knight, Jackson Wagner, Miranda Krueger, Allen Leopard, Kristen Haller and Sam Prowant; nine great-grandchildren; sister Connie McDaniel; sister-in-law and lifelong friend Sue Gilchrist; and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene; son Gary Leopard Sr., brother Robert Gilchrist, and special uncle Gary Castle.
