Judy Clover Obituary

Judith Ann “Judy” Clover, 82, of Yarmouth, went home to be with the Lord at 10:12 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House, surrounded by her family.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Sperry United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Visitation for Judy will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis. Memorials may be directed to the Sperry United Methodist Church or Great River Hospice in memory of Judy. Online condolences may be sent to family at sandhfuneralservice.com.

Judy was born October 12, 1940 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Riley James and Violet Marie (Duncan) Locke. She graduated from Sperry High School in 1958. Judy was married to Joseph Everett Clover on August 10, 1958 in Pleasant Grove.  Everett and Judy celebrated 61 years together.

Judy worked for the Sperry Store as an invoice clerk and for Walmart. She was a member of the Sperry United Methodist Church and was active in Bible School, AWANAS and T.T.T.  She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, animals, cooking and baking pies, many of which she baked for the hospice house. Judy’s greatest joy in life came from the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always present for their activities.

Judy will be deeply missed by her two sons: Tim (Rhonda) Clover of Mediapolis and Dan (Janine) Clover of Sperry; one sister, Deb (Chuck) Ealey of Wapello; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Michaela) Clover of Alpha, Illinois, Rylee Johnson of Mediapolis, Matt (Britanie) Clover of Mediapolis, Kylee (Bob) Virgin of Mediapolis, Katie (Trevor) Knapp of Wapello, Raegan (Kyle) Schulte of Sperry and Haley Clover of Mediapolis.  Raegan and Haley were raised by the Clovers after the death of their mother.  She is also survived by three step-grandchildren, Nick, Amber and Dalton (Courtney) Scott; fourteen great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother-in-law, Jim (Carol) Clover of Ames; sister-in-law, Irene Kinney of West Burlington; and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2021; daughter, Lori; brother, Richard Locke; and brother-in-law, Floren Clover.
