Judith Carol (Montgomery) Honts

Judith (Judy) Carol Montgomery was born on January 29, 1945. A childhood spent in the 50’s led to a love of the ‘King of Rock-n-Roll’, Elvis Presley, and was perhaps his greatest fan. Judy married Frank Honts on September 14, 1962 and they remained lifetime companions. Judy became mother to Teresa, Debbie and Steve Honts, what she would consider one of her greatest achievements in life.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Muscatine and passed away peacefully at her home on November 11, 2019 at the age of 74 years, after spending her last days in the company and love of her family, which was most important to her.

Anyone that visited Judy knew that she was most proud of her children and grandchildren as many photos were always on display.

Survived by her mother Carol McKiddy; siblings Jimmy McKiddy, Jaunita Page, and Skip Montgomery; ex-husband Frank Honts; children Teresa (Ron) Hartman, Debbie Yerington, and Steven Honts; Grandchildren Sarah Hartman, Rachael (Zack) Miller, Jennie Yerington, Austin Yerington and great grandson Rowan Miller.

She was preceded in death by her father James McKiddy and a sister Barb Benefiel.
