Juanita Fay (Cunningham) Smith

Juanita F. Smith, 88, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home.  No services will be held at this time, a Celebration of life will be planned for a later date.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Juanita’s name. Juanita F. Cunningham was born on August 16, 1932 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Vina (Harris) Cunningham.  On October 30, 1948, she was united in marriage to Ernest Smith in Muscatine.  She had worked at various department stores in the area in her younger days, which probably influenced her love of shopping.  Juanita also enjoyed reading, especially mysteries and her Bible.

Juanita will be missed by her daughter, Constance Estabrook of Muscatine; sons, Paul (Robin) Smith of Watertown, Tennessee and Kerry (Thelma Peterson) Smith of Muscatine; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and siblings, Raymond (Ruby) Cunningham of Cairo, Gloria Trout of Morning Sun, Clarence “Sonny” (Lillian) Cunningham of Muscatine and James Cunningham of Clinton.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Tamara Ann Smith; brother, Harold Cunningham, Jr. and sister, Marian Millett
