Jose Banuelos-Hernandez

Jose Guadalupe Banuelos – Hernandez, 81, of Muscatine passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at his home.  Private family services were held.  Condolences for the family may be sent to Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral Home 2907 Mulberry Avenue, Muscatine, Iowa 52761 in care of the Banuelos family.   Notes of sympathy also may be left for the family at www. sandhfuenralservice.com. 

Jose Guadalupe was born on December 12, 1944 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the son of Pedro Banuelos and Maria Hernandez.  Jose was married to Lucia Chavez for over 55 years.  Jose enjoyed being around people and always being out and about; whether it was going out to eat, going to the casino or visiting his favorite thrift stores.  Jose had the best attitude of always being happy and living life to the fullest.  His family was very dear to him. 

Jose will be deeply missed by his wife, Lucia; his children, Laura Banuelos (Ricardo Pedraza), Sergio (Vividiana) Banuelos, Juan Carlos Banuelos and Damaris Bautista; 15 grandchildren and his siblings, Maria DeJesus Banuelos and Justino Banuelos. 

Jose was preceded in death by his parents.
