John Daniel Lange

John Lange, 68, of Letts, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Unity Point Health in Muscatine.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Service of Columbus Junction.  Burial will follow the service at Letts Cemetery.  Visitation for John will be on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family is also planning a Celebration of Life at a later date. John Daniel Lange, was born May 2, 1952 in Muscatine, the son of Carl and Anita (Bast) Lange.  John farmed the family farm with his father Carl.  After Carl passed, John continued to farm until he retired in 2009.  After his retirement he enjoyed supervising the harvest with Mike and Trish O’Toole.  He was a member of the Letts United Methodist Church, the American Legion in Muscatine, the NRA and Farm Bureau.  John enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

John will be deeply missed by his daughter, Danielle Lange of Letts; siblings, Steve Lange of Muscatine, Gary (Sheree) Lange of Letts, and Mary (Larry) Morrison of Letts; former wife, Jackie Lange of Grandview and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anita and his grandparents.
