John David Thomas

John D. Thomas, 60, of San Pedro, California, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Columbus Junction.  Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction is caring for John’s family and arrangements.

John David Thomas was born on August 15, 1964, in Lima, Ohio the son of Richard Wayne and Barbara (Smith) Thomas.  On December 4, 1993, John was united in marriage to Ramona Rodriguez.  He worked for Felder’s Body Shop in Redondo Beach, California.  John enjoyed working on cars, go-carts, HVAC, airplanes, auto body repair and detailing.

John will be deeply missed by his wife, Ramona of Cedar Rapids; his son, Richard Thomas of Cedar Rapids; mother Barbara Bruce of San Pedro, California and half-brother, Richard Thomas of Canada.

John was preceded in death by his father.
