John Paul Brockert, 66, of Kossuth, passed away on January 3, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. John Paul Brockert was born on August 26, 1954 in Burlington, the son of Paul and Viola (Feldman) Brockert, John worked as a Realtor in Des Moines, and upon moving back to Kossuth operated a commercial painting business, and owned and operated Mediapolis Recreational Center. He worked for many years at J&M Displays, where he made life time friendships and traveled. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

John is survived by three children, Anne Brockert, Ben Brockert, and Casie (Kellen) Vance; three granddaughters Karen, Tess and Harriet.; brother, Robert (Jackie) Brockert and sister Joyce (Dennis) Ramseyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sharon Jackson.
